Bright suns everyone! The opening of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has finally arrived. Opening the beginning of March 2022, the reviews have been pouring in about Walt Disney World’s most out-of-this-world experience. Luckily at MMV, we had an agent… I mean rebel spy… hop aboard the Halcyon and take a trip to a galaxy far, far away. Our rebel spy wants to give you a first-hand look into what you could experience during your stay aboard the Galactic Starcruiser.
Welcome aboard.
To get started, forget everything you know about a typical stay at Walt Disney World. This isn’t a place to check-in and then go frolic in the parks. This is a 2 night nonstop, immersive experience that puts you and your friends/family into a Star Wars storyline. It’s packed full of activities, entertainment, cosmic meals, and Star Wars characters. Another important detail to point out is, unlike most places where you can choose any day as a check-in day, when booking your stay with SW: GS, the Halcyon only makes trips to space every other day. Example: You can check-in for voyages on the 8th and 10th of August, but not the 9th because the Halcyon Starcruiser will be “in space” during that time. This is to keep the storyline flow the same for everyone during their stay.

Standard Cabin (Sleeps 4 to 5 passengers): Each Standard Cabin is fitted with furnishings and fixtures designed to ensure comfort while traveling throughout the galaxy—including a pullout table and a TV with entertainment from your home planet—and a window with a view out into space. Bedding configuration: 1 queen bed, 2 berths (bunk beds) for one adult each and a wall pull-down bed for one adult (if sleeping 5).

Galaxy Class Suite (Sleeps up to 4 passengers): One-bedroom Galaxy Class Suites feature a living space complete with an integrated seating area and have all the comforts of Standard Cabins plus a double vanity bathroom, bar area, 2 windows with views out into space and a few extra Star Wars surprises. Bedding configuration: 1 queen bed and 2 wall pull-down beds for one adult each.

Grand Captain Suite (Sleeps up to 8 passengers): Two-bedroom Grand Captain’s Suites offer ample room for the whole family and feature a posh living space complete with an integrated seating area. They have all the comforts of Standard Cabins plus the main suite with a double vanity bathroom, a second bathroom with single vanity, a bar area, 3 windows with views out into space, and a few extra Star Wars surprises. Bedding configuration: 2 queen beds, 2 berths (bunk beds) for one adult each, and 2 wall pull-down beds for one adult each.

Spoiler Alert… Well not really!
While we don’t want to spoil your fun by giving away all the details on what you’ll experience while onboard, we do want to give you a glimpse into the fun you’ll have on this amazing experience.
Upon arrival to the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, guests will check-in with a cast member and wait in a designated area to be called for “launch.” Note: Depending on what time you arrive and how many people have arrived before you, there may be a little bit of a wait to get through security and to your next important location. Check-in times are currently between 1 pm and 4 pm on your voyage date. We know every minute counts, so we recommend arriving as close to 1 pm as possible.
Onboard Activities During Your Stay:
Lightsaber Training: <insert lightsaber sound> Don’t lie… deep down inside you’ve always thought how cool it would be to wield a saber. Picture it now: You’re locked in a deep stare with Kylo Ren. Everything is in slow motion. Your sabers meet. Sparks are flying… Sorry, we got lost in thought there for a second. So maybe you won’t be training against Kylo Ren, but you’ll put your skills to the test when you face off against a remote training device.
** All lifeforms must be 7 years and up to perform this task.**
Bridge Training: Here you’ll learn what it’s like to be in command of the Starcruiser. With the help of the crew you’ll learn about navigation, power, defense, as well other critical systems that keep the Halcyon Starcruiser safe from unforeseen galactic forces.
Make sure to pay attention. These skills may come in handy during your voyage!
Planet Excursion to Batuu: Guests onboard the Halcyon Starcruiser will have assignments to complete while visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s a chance to see this special place like never before! While there you’ll get to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Plus, the activities that take place in Batuu will connect you even closer to your Star Wars story on the Halcyon.
Entertainment:
Throughout your journey in space. You’ll get to see some familiar faces, but you’ll also meet new Star Wars characters that are sure to become some of your new favorites.
From the Captain of the Halcyon, Captain Riyola Keevan to the galactic superstar Gaya (pictured to the right) who will sing her way into your heart, the SW: Galactic Starcruiser will keep you in the moment and create, as Aladdin would say… a whole, new world for you and your friends/family inside the Star Wars universe.
Food made for the Cosmos:
Traveling through space, especially while secretly joining the Resistance, can really take the energy out of you. Luckily, while aboard the Halcyon, you’ll be treated to an “expertly curated menu of the most delicious dishes from across the galaxy.”
Breakfast: You’ll be able to sample unique off-planet hot and cold small plates and try out a variety of beverages like juice and coffee. Oh and don’t forget about the Bubo Wamba Family Farms blue milk!
Lunch: You get to choose from a collection of small bites, yummy things like sandwiches, soups, mini-flatbreads, assorted salads, and, most importantly, dessert.
Dinner: This is where the fun really kicks in! On your first night aboard the Halcyon you’ll enjoy a one-of-a-kind meal, plus a special musical appearance by a galactic superstar. You’ll also get to socialize with other passengers and some of the crew. On night two, you’ll experience The Taste Around the Galaxy, which offers courses inspired by the geography and environments of iconic Star Wars destinations throughout the galaxy. **Note: When your MMV agent is booking your Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, you’ll need to select first or second dining. Times are subject to availability at time of booking.”
Sublight Lounge – Wait til you check out this stylish lounge inspired by the Halcyon starcruiser’s “historic voyages throughout the galaxy!” The Sublight Lounge is the perfect place to sip on a tasty beverage and relax after a long day… while there you may even find yourself conspiring with a smuggler or even playing a game of holo-sabacc.
Captain’s Table: For an additional fee, you can experience a unique meal and dine like the Captain herself. In fact, you’ll sample some of her favorite dishes, while seated in the best seats in the house. **Note: This experience sells out at warped speeds so booking early is always recommended.**

A journey aboard the Halcyon is an adventure where the passengers (guests) choose their own path. Through a series of decisions that each passenger makes, their journey is unveiled as they move along in the story, making each passenger’s adventure and experience unique to them.
Regardless of whether you’re a Jedi in training or a secret Sith Lord, the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser has something for everyone. Just make sure when you’re ready to book your trip to a galaxy “not so far away,” use the force aka your MMV agent!
